City police have charged two Belleville men after they reportedly forced their way into a Benjamin Street home carrying a baseball bat and a knife.
According to police once the men were inside they assaulted another man who sustained non-life threatening injuries.
All parties involved are known to each other.
Charged with break and enter and assault with a weapon are 41-year-old Roger Reynolds and 37-year-old.
They were released with conditions and will both appear in court in early April.
