A doctor recruitment program could be coming to the Municipality of Brighton.
At tonight’s council meeting, Mayor Mark Walas will make a motion that staff prepare
a report on what a physician recruitment program might look like.
Quinte West and Belleville have long had such programs in place.
There, tuition for medical students is paid by the municipality in exchange for a guarantee of
5 years service by the graduate doctors.
Brighton council meets this evening at 6:30 in council chambers.
