The Trenton Goldenhawks have jumped out to a 1-0 series lead against Newmarket, after a 6-2 win at home Wednesday night.
Captain Danny Hanlon had three points, and says they had a slow start, but kicked it up a notch.
Hunter Fargey and Mitch Emerson both had four points to lead Trenton.
Game two is Thursday night in Newmarket and CJBQ will have the call beginning at 7:20 p.m for Dow’s Climate Care.
Wellington meantime has one more night off, before they start their series against Aurora Friday night at home.
CJBQ will broadcast game one as well.
