An eyesore in Brighton may soon be cleaned up.
Community Development officer Vaughn Finch and Mayor Chris Herrington met with Devon Estates, a subsidiary of Imperial Oil, to discuss the future of the former Esso gas station, and got a verbal agreement for the licensing of the property for beautification.
The accidental removal of the fence surrounding the site on Prince Edward Street at the end of March led to the meeting. Brighton was flooded with phone calls in favour of the fence’s removal.
