The Battle of Quinte is re-ignited for the fourth and final time this season. Trenton and Wellington meet up at 7 p.m. tonight from Essroc Arena. The Dukes have taken two of three from the G-Hawks this year.
EMPIRE B JR C PLAYOFFS
The Amherstview Jets jumped out to a 3-0 lead through the halfway point of Game 2 with the Napanee Raiders and did not look back, ousting the Raiders 5-3. Cody Jodoin led the way for the Jets with three points, while Riley Steeves had two goals in the loss. The Amherstview victory knots the series up at 1, game three is tonight at 7:30 in Amherstview.
Meanwhile, the #1 ranked Port Hope Panthers were given a tough task against the Gananoque Islanders in the first game of their series, but managed to pull out a 3-2 win. Dan Lagrois had a goal and an assist and Dalton Lawrence notched the game winner for Port Hope, Quinn Cota made 41 saves in defeat. Game 2 is tonight in Gananoque, starting at 7.
