Charges have been laid in connection with a high speed pursuit two weeks ago from Tweed to Belleville.
A Kaladar-area resident noticed a suspicious U-Haul truck leaving his house on April sixth, and he followed it, reporting its location to the O-P-P . Two vehicles were then reported stolen a short distance away, and then police chased a stolen van on Hwy 37 toward Belleville, before the pursuit was called off.. The stolen van was found in Belleville, which led to another stolen vehicle nearby. A joint effort involving the O-P-P and other police forces has resulted in the arrest of three southwestern Ontario men, who are facing numerous charges.
