It appears there will be a changing of the guard at Loyalist College.
It was announced last night that President Maureen Piercy will leave her position, effective August 31 of this year.
Piercy has spent more than 35 years working in the Ontario college system and has been at Loyalist since 1988.
Piercy is also a former Loyalist grad.
In a release issued today, Piercy says some recent health concerns are what led her to make the decision.
The Board of Governors says it will be bringing on a professional search firm, to help find Piercy’s replacement, in time for the 2017 school year, Loyalist’s 50th anniversary.
