The new man in charge at C-F-B Trenton will have the undivided attention of Quinte West City Council tonight.
Colonel Dave Cochrane will give council an update on activities at the base, where hundreds of millions of dollars of infrastructure improvements have been going on for several years.
It is also the staging point for humanitarian flights, most recently Haiti, and regular flights are made to Afghanistan as part of Canada’s obligations there. Cochrane has been the base commander for just over two months, having replaced Colonel Russ Williams in February.
