There will be no change atop the Lower Trent Conservation Board of Directors this year.
At the environmental agency’s annual meeting last night, Alnwick/Haldimand councillor Ray Benns and Quinte West Deputy Mayor Jim Alyea were acclaimed to the positions of chair and vice chair, respectively.
The LTC Board also approved a 2016 operating budget of just over $2.5 million.
About 52% of that, or around $822,000 will come from the seven municipalities in the LTC watershed, with the rest of the money earned through government grants, user fees and donations.
