Entrepreneurs in the Quinte area wanting to start a business will be able to get some financial incentive this year.
Belleville’s manager of economic development Karen Poste says the Small Business Centre will receive $300,000 over the next couple of years for two programs, Starter Company and Summer Company.
Poste told the Quinte Economic Development Commission yesterday Summer Company is for students.
She says Starter Company is for people wanting to start a permanent full-time company.
It is provincial funding and managed by the Small Business Centre which is supported by the municipalities.
