This is the last week of the regular season in the Empire Junior “C” Hockey League. And they have wasted no time announcing their year end awards.
The Rookie of the Year is Belleville native Evan Foley of the Port Hope Panthers. The 17 year old Foley scored 23 goals and 38 assists in 38 games for the first place Panthers.
There are co-winners of the “Goalie of the Year” award. It will be shared by Napanee’s Cameron Parr and Charles Grimard of the Picton Pirates.
Tonight the Napanee Raiders host Gananoque at the Strathcona Paper Centre at 7:30. Napanee can clinch second place with a victory.
