Belleville will expand its agreement with the Belleville and District Chamber of Commerce for more than the six special events it already handles for the city.
The new agreement will cover four years to the end of 2019.
The deal will include the Christmas Lighting Display event this year, Family Day and an expanded Canada Day 150 event next year.
There will be an extra event in each of 2018 and 2019.
Council had approved 90-thousand dollars in this year’s budget and there will be increases each year coming to 112-thousand-500 in 2019.
