What’s described as a life-changing trip is coming up for 20 students from local Catholic secondary schools.
10 students each from St. Theresa and St. Paul’s Secondary will leave for the Dominican Republic on Friday for their 2016 mission.
The students will stay with normal Dominican families, experiencing their culture through their working and family lives.
The Dominican Republic is one of the poorest countries in the world, and the students will see firsthand the daily struggles that most of the population has to endure.
The students will return February 19th.
