The Trenton hospital has one of the highest rates of infection for M-R-S-A in Ontario.
The provincial government released numbers as part of a new quarterly reporting of infections from M-R-S-A and V-R-E.
The Trenton hospital was the third highest in the province for M-R-S-A, at a rate of point-one-seven per one-thousand patient days, with two other hospitals, in New Tecumseth and Haldimand County about twice that figure.
Quinte Healthcare Official Susan Rowe says there were fewer than five cases in Trenton, but the rate seems high because it is a relatively small hospital.
