The Quinte West detachment of the OPP is partnering with the Hastings and Prince Edward Alzheimer’s Society to offer a life saving program.
Today, the OPP and the Society launched “Project Lifesaver.”
Quinte West OPP Constable, David Ludington, says some people suffering from Alzheimer’s disease or dementia will be eligible for a special bracelet which will emit a radio signal.
Officers can then use that signal to locate those who have wandered away from home.
Project Lifesaver will be available to residents living in Quinte West. For more information on the program call the Hastings and Prince Edward Alzheimer’s Society.
