Four members of the Quinte Blades Speed Skating Club competed at a Special Olympics event in Milton this weekend.
Dianne Roebuck finished first in all four of her races. Adam James had a first place finish and a personal best. Kai Freeland also earns a gold ribbon as does Nicole Ferguson. All four have already earned spots with Ontario’s Special Olympics team that will compete at the Canadian Championships in Cornerbrook Newfoundland next month.
Two Masters level skaters from Quinte Blades took part in a 10K race in Portland. Paul Pickard skated to a first place finish. Don Verhage was second.
