The Wellington Dukes and Trenton Golden Hawks came out on the winning end of 3-2 regulation time victories yesterday. Sam Tanguay stopped a last second penalty shot to preserve the win for Wellington over the Whitby Fury. Dylan Mascarin, Tyler Burnie and Ben Sokay scored for the Dukes who move into third place in the Northeast Conference.
In Trenton, Lucas Brown broke a 2-2 tie at 4:42 of the third and Daniel Urbani made it stand up for a 3-2 win over Cobourg. Liam Morgan and Danny Hanlon also scored for Trenton. In the Empire Junior “C” Hockey League, the Napanee Raiders pummelled Amherstview 8-3 in a game that featured 174 penalty minutes. Chad Caskenette with a goal and two assists.
Port Hope rolled over the Campbellford Rebels 9-2.
