An officer tried to pull over a speeding pickup truck on the 4-0-1 last night, and a spike belt was put down near Ingersoll, flattening the vehicle’s front tires, but the truck continued on. Three OPP cruisers set up a rolling roadblock, but the truck, taken from the Napanee area earlier this week, struck all three vehicles before coming to a stop. The driver was arrested without incident. One OPP officer was taken to hospital with minor injuries, treated and released..
Numerous charges, including possession of stolen property and failing to stop for police are pending against the driver, who is being held in custody for a bail hearing in Woodstock Court today.
