Brighton resident Ray Yurkowski has been asking questions surrounding the Lakeside Landing subdivision and hasn’t been getting any straight answers.
This should be resolved February 1 after council directed staff to address his concerns.
Yurkowski said that under the property standards bylaw, subdivision owner Mayor Mark Walas should not be allowed to change the grading of the proposed subdivision, yet loads of fill have been dumped on the property over the past year.
Residents are concerned with flooding, and well and septic issues to the point that four residents have taken the matter to the Ontario Municipal Board.
Walas would not comment on the issue.
