The aging pool in Centre Hastings needs a significant investment by 2020, or it just won’t last.
That was the message from the Centre Hastings Pool Committee at last night’s meeting, asking for $25,000 to be invested in the outdoor facility in this year’s budget.
Deputy Mayor Shelby Kramp-Neuman is a member of that committee and says it’s not a project that will be done overnight, but a commitment needs to be made.
She says those plans could include either renovating the current outdoor pool, built in the 1970’s, or build a new one that could operate year round.
