Cramahe Township council has set a 16.7-million dollar budget.
Treasurer Mora Chatterson says about 26 per cent of that will be raised through taxes, but the impact on the property tax bill hasn’t yet been determined. Property assessment in the township is up by eight per cent over last year.
Chatterson says major projects in the budget include the ongoing upgrading of the Colborne sewage treatment plant, and new water and sewer mains on Purdy Road and Parliament and Durham Streets.
