Local mayors and warden are sitting down with Bay of Quinte MP Neil Ellis Wednesday to discuss long term infrastructure planning.
Prince Edward County mayor Robert Quaiff tells Quinte News he along with Belleville mayor Taso Christopher, Quinte West mayor Jim Harrison and Hastings County Warden Rick Phillips will meet the MP at a meeting in Trenton.
Quaiff says they will sit down and voice their concerns so that MP Ellis can take them to Ottawa.
Quaiff and Phillips are also meeting today to make sure they’ve got their plans in place before they head to the caucus meeting in Kingston that runs today through Friday.
Quaiff says the County is prepared, they know what their needs are and they’re raring to go.
The $22 million Highway 49 rebuild, how to tackle the County’s many road and infrastructure woes, developing an asset management plan and healthcare will be the focus for Quaiff.
