Brighton council is going ahead with the controversial waterfront development plan for Gosport.
Council went into committee of the whole for about 45 minutes last night after Councillor Dave Cutler suggested no decision be made until concerns in a 400-name petition received in March were discussed. Mayor Chris Herrington says council went back into regular session, agreeing, after all the work that has gone into the proposal, it’s time to go ahead..
Gosport residents are concerned about the effects the marina upgrades and other features of the Waterfront development plan will have on their community.
