With all of the snow we’ve gotten today and the possibility of more coming overnight, the City of Belleville is putting out a reminder that winter parking restrictions are in effect.
That means there is absolutely no parking allowed on city streets, or city-owned parking lots, between 1:00 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. daily.
The restrictions are in place to make things as easy as possible for snow-clearing operations and to keep roads clear for emergency vehicles that may have to get by.
If you don’t follow these rules, city staff say you run a high risk of having your vehicle ticketed or towed.
The rules are in effect until further notice and drivers are being thanked in advance for their cooperation.
