We have a correction to make to a story we recently reported on and aired on our Quinte News stations.
In the story about possible changes to management at the HJ MacFarland Home in Prince Edward County, we mistakenly referenced Extendicare as the manager of the home.
In fact, the home is managed by another large corporation, Saint Elizabeth Health Care and has been since 2014.
At an upcoming meeting, Prince Edward County Council will be discussing a motion to not renew the management contract with Saint Elizabeth Health, due to concerns over quality of care.
