Three people have been arrested in connection with some really bad driving in Tweed.
Central Hastings O-P-P got complaints yesterday about an erratically driven vehicle. The driver failed to stop, travelling at high speeds, and the vehicle hit the cruiser at one point. The officer tried to arrest the driver who accelerated, dragging the officer several metres before hitting a parked trailer. All three occupants of the vehicle were arrested at the scene. A 17-year old Belleville boy was to appear in Belleville court today for a bail hearing charged with possession of stolen property, flight from police, dangerous driving, and resisting police. Nineteen-year-old Justin Etches of no fixed address was also to appear for a bail hearing charged with possession of stolen property, resisting police, and breach of probation. An 18 year old Belleville woman, Shannon Stroh-Nicolle, will appear in Belleville court in late April charged with theft of a motor vehicle and possession of stolen property.
