Accidents
Belleville, Ontario – On January 4th, 2016, at 1:16 p.m. police attended at the intersection of Front St. and Bridge St. as a car had struck a pedestrian. The 78 year old male pedestrian suffered minor injuries and declined medical attention. The driver, a 78 year old Belleville woman, was charged with failing to yield to a pedestrian.
On January 4th, 2016, at 2:22 p.m. police attended on Dundas St. E. at MacDonald Ave. in relation to a two-car accident. One person was trapped in a vehicle and was extricated by Belleville Fire Department. This person sustained minor injuries. The investigation is continuing.
Arrest on warrant
Belleville, Ontario – On January 4th, 2016, at 2:40 p.m. officers attended at the courthouse on Bridge St. W. as a 26 year old Belleville man had surrendered on outstanding warrants. Trevor Cox will appear for a bail hearing on January 5th, 2016 on charges of assault, mischief, and breach of a recognizance.
Theft of a generator
Belleville, Ontario – On January 4th, 2016, at 8:13 a.m. a homeowner on Dundas Street West reported the theft of a generator from a shed on the property. The generator is described as a Honda 4500W. Any information can be forwarded to Quinte Crimestoppers or the Belleville Police Service.
