A Tyendinaga Township man has died on the eve of his 53rd birthday.
Belleville City Police say a 1995 Cadillac, driven at a high rate of speed, went off Harmony Road, east of Highway 37, at 10-40 last night and hit a tree. The driver and only occupant, Michael Rankin, was pronounced dead at the scene.. He would have turned 53 today.
Speed and alcohol may have been contributing factors.
