Murray Centennial Public School near Trenton has been honoured at a reception in Toronto.
The kindergarten to Grade Eight facility was named a school of distinction in the “Determination in Academic Achievement” category at the Garfield Weston Awards for Excellence in Education.
The category was won by a Toronto school, with Murray Centennial one of 24 schools earning distinction honours. The awards are based on the Education Ministry’s students results data for each school in the Fraser Institute’s annual Report Card.
