With all of the recent policing controversy behind them…..Stirling-Rawdon is moving ahead with plans to build a new home for its police and fire departments immediately. At a special meeting yesterday, council awarded the construction tender to Peak Engineering of Brighton which produced the lowest tenders of four recieved at 2.4 million dollars. Infrastructure money from senior levels of government will cover two-thirds of the cost. It’s expected Stirling’s finest will be able to move into their much needed new home before Christmas.
