A battle is brewing over who controls access to eight beds at the Picton hospital.
Local doctors feel the beds belong to the hospital and they manage them.. However, Quinte Health Care says it controls the beds, and the physicians and patients may use them only if they’re not needed by Q-H-C.
County doctors negotiated a deal with Quinte Health Care a year ago, but they now feel the beds have been taken away from them.
