Prince Edward County continues to evolve it’s economy. The County, once all about farming, and related industry, has morphed into a major wine and culinary tourist area over the past decade.
But, now, Prince Edward County, in particular, Picton, will be the site of what’s called an ‘idea factory”. Television producer Whistlestop has expanded, and is offering space to creative tenants in the marketing and digital media business. It’s expected the so called “headland” on Ross street will be filled soon.
And, on top of that, businesspeople are seriously considering the County as a location for a 20 million dollar expansion. Should that occur, about 40 new digital media jobs will be created, bringing with them 5 million dollars a year in salaries.
