An investigation into the cause of a house fire in Quinte West involving the OPP and the Ontario Fire Marshal’s Office is underway.
Just after 2 a.m. on Saturday, firefighters, OPP, and Hastings-Quinte Paramedic Services were called to a house on fire on Hamilton Road right at the intersection with Wallbridge-Loyalist Road.
Upon arrival, the home was completely engulfed in flames.
No one was inside the house and there were no injuries.
The cause is suspicious and Quinte West Fire Chief John Whalen says the damage estimate is set at $700,000.
