Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation is excited to announce the return of a beloved community event: bed races.
Set to take place on Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Homestead Marketplace, this family-friendly event will raise funds
to support the purchase of new stretchers for the Emergency Room at Trenton Memorial
Hospital.
In a fun twist, the beds being raced are specially crafted by students from the Algonquin and
Lakeshore Catholic District School Board, then decorated by participating teams before hitting
the track.
Stretchers are a vital part of emergency care, used constantly to transport and treat patients
safely and efficiently. The funds raised through this year’s bed races will go directly toward
purchasing modern stretchers to support the lifesaving work of the ER team, ensuring better care
when every second counts.
Teams are encouraged to participate in advance of race day, rallying their networks in support of
local healthcare. The day will also feature family-friendly activities and community fun for all
ages, making it a perfect way to kick off the summer with purpose.
