More information has been revealed about a fire on Macdonald Avenue Tuesday afternoon.
Belleville fire responded just after 3 p.m. after multiple 911 calls were received about flames and black smoke coming from a triplex in the 100 block of Macdonald Avenue.

Deputy Fire Chief Mark Shannon tells Quinte News seven people were in the structure at the time of the fire.
Five managed to get out on their own while two others were rescued by firefighters.
Hastings-Quinte Paramedics transported three people to hospital.

The fire marshal’s office has been contacted to send an investigator to work with Belleville fire investigators and Belleville police.
There is no word on a cause or a damage estimate as of yet.
