Home ice hasn’t proved to be an advantage so far in the Schmalz Cup semifinal between the Napanee Raiders and Hanover Barons.
Hanover beat Napanee 5-2 Friday night at the Best and Bash Arena tying the series at one game apiece.
Michael Patrick scored both of the Raiders’ goals in front of almost 1,000 fans.
It was a rough game and Napanee forward Spencer Cranley was handed two 10-minute misconduct penalties plus an automatic game misconduct for disrespectful/abusive behaviour in the third period.
Game 3 is in Napanee Sunday night at 7 o’clock.
The OJHL Championship series gets underway Saturday (April 19) in Trenton.
It’s the Trenton Golden Hawks versus the Milton Menace. Game time is 5 o’clock.
Game 2 goes Monday night in Milton at 7:30
