Belleville police have charged a man with stunt driving after he was found driving at twice the posted speed limit.
An officer was doing speed enforcement on Highway 37 on Wednesday, when he clocked a driver with a LIDAR gun moving at 134km/h. The posted speed in that area is 60km/h.
The officer stopped the driver, a 47-year-old Mississauga man, who was charged with stunt driving.
The driver was issued a summons for a traffic court day in May.
His driver’s licence was immediately suspended for 30 days and his vehicle was impounded for 14 days.
