Centre Hastings OPP have issued an arrest warrant in connection with a serious assault.
Police responded to the incident on Wellington Street in Centre Hastings just before 7 p.m. on Monday.
When they arrived at the scene, officers found a seriously injured male who was taken to hospital by Hastings-Quinte Paramedics.
A second man was also taken to hospital as a precaution.
A third person reported that the man had earlier taken their phone while brandishing a knife.
Police say the attacker fled the scene before police arrived.
As a result of the investigation, an arrest warrant has been issued for 44-year-old Samuel Koch of Centre Hastings for charges of:
- Aggravated assault
- Uttering threats to cause death of bodily harm – two counts
- Theft
- Failing to comply with a probation order
Koch is described as:
- 6’1″ tall
- Thin build
- Brown hair and brown eyes

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Samuel Koch should also call the OPP immediately. Do not approach this individual.
