There was a tractor-trailer fire on Hwy 401 Monday near the Mitchell Road overpass.
Around 4 p.m., emergency crews responded to the eastbound lanes, between the Highway 37/Cannifton Road exit and the Shannonville turnoff.

There was a collision between an 18-wheeler and a truck hauling a gooseneck trailer.
The big rig caught fire and the truck was burned, however, crews were able to keep the trailer from going up in smoke.
It was carrying a load of food.
No injuries were reported.
The highway was shut down while crews battled the blaze, which was along the median.
