Lennox and Addington County OPP have charged two people with impaired driving.
On Saturday, April 12, 2025, shortly after noon, L&A County OPP members were called by 11 different drivers about a vehicle that had struck the guardrails and centre median on Hwy 401. Police located the vehicle and the driver was arrested.
Antoine Charbonneau, a 26-year-old from Saint-Alexandre, Quebec was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
- Dangerous operation
- Driving motor vehicle with cannabis readily available
- Driving motor vehicle with open container of liquor
On Monday, April 14, 2025, just after 9 p.m., L&A County OPP were called regarding a traffic complaint on Highway 41. Police located the vehicle and the driver was arrested.
Kierston-Lee Jeffrey, a 25-year-old from Napanee was charged with:
- Operation while impaired – alcohol
- Operation while impaired – over 80 mgs of alcohol
- Drive motor vehicle no licence
Both accused were released from custody and are scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Greater Napanee at a later date. Their driver licences were suspended for 90 days, and their vehicles were impounded.
