Toronto police detectives have not given up trying to solve the murder of Trenton native Matthew Staikos.
Staikos, 37 at the time, was shot dead execution-style in Toronto almost seven years ago in May of 2018.
A recent article in the Toronto Sun says police believe Staikos, a successful businessman in the tech industry, was shot for money by a professional killer.
Detectives say a lot of money, including cryptocurrency, was involved but add Staikos was a “completely innocent victim.”
Police say they are renewing their search for people of interest in the case.
