The provincial government is investing to improve public transit in Hastings-Lennox & Addington riding.
On Friday the government announced a total of almost $500,000 in funding for transit to be split by Deseronto, Marmora and Lake, Bancroft, and Loyalist Township.
The money is coming from gas tax revenue.
The breakdown of funding for Hastings-Lennox & Addington is as follows:
• Bancroft (Hastings Highlands, Wollaston) – $83,303
• Loyalist Township – $198,449
• Marmora and Lake (Centre Hastings, Madoc, Stirling-Rawdon, Tweed) – $20,173
• Deseronto (Greater Napanee, Hastings County, Tyendinaga) – $193,792
