The Trenton Golden Hawks were 12 seconds away from taking a 3-0 lead in the OJHL Eastern Conference final with Haliburton. Instead the lead is now two games to one.
Chase Lefebvre tied it for the Huskies with 11 seconds left in regulation then assisted on Kieran Litterick’s first playoff goal at 7:56 of the second overtime to give Haliburton a 4-3 victory.
Isaiah Shantz, Taeo Artichuk and Corbin Roach scored for the G-Hawks.
Game 4 is Friday afternoon at 4 o’clock in Haliburton then it’s back to Trenton Sunday at 6:30.
Raiders sweep Eagles
The Napanee Raiders are the Provincial Junior “C” East Conference champions.
Andrew Carr and Christos Chronis scored twice as Napanee clipped Clarington 5-2 for a four game sweep of the series.
The Raiders await the winner of the Orillia-Hanover Series which the Barons lead 3-1.
The next round is the Provincial semi finals for the Clarence Tubby Schmaltz Trophy.
