A family dispute in Brighton has resulted in charges against one person.
Northumberland OPP responded to an alleged assault at an address on Daniels Drive Tuesday afternoon.
Emergency Medical Services also attended the scene to tend to one person
who sustained non-serious injuries.
The investigation led to the arrest of a 25-year-old Cramahe Township man on charges of assault with a weapon and assault.
The accused, who will not be named to protect the identity of the victim, is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg at a future date.
