The Municipality of Brighton is making a generous pledge to the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation.
The town is committing $100,000 per year over the next five years — for a total of $500,000 — in support of the Emergency Department Expansion at Trenton Memorial Hospital (TMH).
Brighton Mayor Brian Ostrander says, “The Municipality of Brighton is proud to support the Trenton Memorial Hospital Foundation and its vital work in our community. Our pledge underscores Brighton’s commitment to ensuring that the emergency department at Trenton Memorial Hospital is equipped to meet the growing needs of our residents. By investing in this expansion, we are not only enhancing patient care but also ensuring that our healthcare facilities can adapt to the increasing demands placed on them. Together, we are making a substantial difference in the health and well-being of our community.”
Lindsay Butcher Dodds, executive director of TMHF says, “This commitment helps us move one step closer to our goal of an expanded emergency department that reflects the growing needs of our community.”
With Emergency Department volumes at Trenton Memorial Hospital seeing a 25% increase in patient visits over the past three years, the current space is no longer equipped to handle the level of demand, making the upcoming expansion essential.
