Brighton may soon have financial incentives in place to help business owners and homeowners improve the appearance of their properties.
Monday, Brighton council approved a draft Community Improvement Program outline in advance of a public input meeting on the issue.
As proposed, the program would feature three streams, facade improvement design rebate, facade and landscaping improvement, and community accessibility improvement.
Under the Community Improvement Program the municipality would provide various levels of funding to help pay for the approved projects.
Most of the funding would be focused on Brighton’s downtown core.
