There are some big numbers in Brighton’s building department report for the month of March.
Twenty-two building permits were issued for a construction value of over $85 million, however, just one project accounted for most of that total.
A conditional permit for $76 million was issued for the construction of a retirement residence on Georgina Street. The permit only allows work on the foundation to proceed.
Meanwhile, permits for 11 new single family homes were issued as well with one valued at $1.4 million.
In March of last year in Brighton just 14 permits were issued with a value of $2.1 million.
