Belleville police responded to 275 calls for service from 5 a.m. on April 4, 2025 to 5 a.m. on April 7, 2025.
Arrested on Warrants
On April 4, 2025 at 2:38 p.m., Belleville police responded to a call for service at a west-end business. An employee of the business reported that an unknown female had entered and been sleeping in a customer’s vehicle in the parking lot. Officers attended the area and located a female party who was currently wanted by the Belleville Police Service. Through investigation, a 38-year-old Belleville woman was taken into custody, wanted for breach of probation, theft under $5000 and two counts of fail to appear in court. She was held for a bail hearing.
Disturbance leads to arrest
Belleville police were called to a Sidney Street address on April 5, 2025 at 1:44 p.m. for a female refusing to leave the property. The suspect was located, and was said to be bothering the residents of the building and acting oddly. It was also discovered she was bound by a probation order with a condition to keep the peace and be of good behaviour. As a result, a 45-year-old woman of no fixed address was arrested and charged with cause a disturbance and breach of probation. She was held for a bail hearing.
Traffic stop leads to arrest and charges
On April 7, 2025 at 1:36 a.m., an officer on patrol in the area of Church and Station streets conducted a vehicle stop and learned that the 25-year-old male driver from Oshawa had several outstanding warrants from the York and Toronto Police Services. The male was arrested at the roadside on the strength of the warrants.
Further investigation revealed that the male was in violation of several release conditions. As a result, he was charged with five counts of failing to comply with a release order and obstructing police. He was held for a bail hearing.
