A dispute in Brighton on the weekend resulted in the arrest of one person.
Late Sunday morning, Northumberland OPP responded to a dispute at a residence where one person sustained minor injuries.
Officers arrived and took one person into custody in relation to the incident.
As a result, a 31-year-old male from Brighton, has been charged with:
– Assault with a weapon
– Assault
– Mischief – destroys and damages property
– Uttering threats – cause death or bodily harm.
The accused, who is not being named to protect the identity of the victim, is scheduled to appear before the Ontario Court of Justice in Cobourg.
