David Fournier’s first two goals of the OJHL playoffs could not have been better timed, particularly the second one.
It came at 7:01 of overtime to give the Trenton Golden Hawks a 5-4 win over the Haliburton Huskies in the opening game of the Eastern Conference final.
There were about 1000 fans jammed into the Dunc McDonald Community Gardens. Fournier says they made a difference.

Raiders take 2-0 lead
The Napanee Raiders have taken a 2-0 lead in the Provincial Junior C Hockey League’s East Conference final.
Christos Chronis scored a goal and assist and Logan Vale turned aside 32 shots as Napanee downed Clarington 3-1.
Game 3 is Tuesday night at 8 o’clock in Napanee.
